Come to Our Elf’d UP Pop-Up Bar at UP on the Roof
Of course, your winter plans in Anderson need to include a stop at our holiday pop-up bar, Elf’d UP! From now through the end of the year, Santa’s elves have taken over at UP on the Roof. Join us for themed drink specials, festive bar bites, and a winter wonderland of kitschy decor. Think Christmas trees, candy canes, and colorful twinkling lights everywhere you look!
You’ll surely have no trouble getting into the Christmas “spirits” with the boozy offerings at Elf’d UP. For instance, try the Rum Rum Rudolph with notes of citrus, vanilla, and spice. If you find yourself saying, “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” then warm UP with one of our tipsy hot chocolates! And for those who are feeling a little naughty, we have a selection of festive shots that’ll fill you with holiday cheer.

Drive Through the Anderson Christmas Lights
The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without driving around to look at Christmas lights! In particular, don’t miss the award-winning Anderson Christmas Lights, less than 10 minutes away from UP on the Roof on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. For just $10 per car, the whole family can enjoy 2.5 miles of light displays, a Christmas village, and even a chance to see Santa. Plus, select nights will feature special entertainment. Drive on in between 5:30 and 10 p.m. any day before Christmas Day!
Shop at the Pendleton Christkindlmarkt
You don’t have to travel to Europe for a traditional outdoor Christmas market! Just a stone’s throw from Anderson, the Pendleton Christkindlmarkt runs from 4:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. on the Fridays and Saturdays between now and Christmas. Different local vendors sell their goods each weekend, so you’ll have several chances to find unique gifts for everyone on your list. In addition, you can sip on mulled wine, hot spiced apple cider, or beer while you shop!
Go Ice Skating in Carolina Wren Park
A mere two-minute walk from UP on the Roof, Carolina Wren Park boasts an ice rink for the month of December. There’s a $5 fee for ages seven and up, while kids aged six and under can skate for $3 on the kiddie rink. But whether you’re young or young at heart, you’ll have a blast on the ice!
