UP ON THE ROOF

Staying Safe on the Rooftop: How UP on the Roof is Doing Its Part During a Pandemic

We know that the world feels a little upside down right now. However, interacting with family and friends is still important, so if you choose to connect with loved ones at UP on the Roof in Greenville, SC, we’ll do everything in our power to make you feel comfortable and ensure your visit as safe as possible.

The way we do things might look and feel different for a bit, but that won’t stop us from providing diners with a superior rooftop restaurant experience.

Allow us to share with you the cleanliness, health and safety precautions we’re taking here at UP on the Roof as we resume on-premise dining.

Social Distancing Measures

Normally, our rooftop would be a place for mingling and large group gatherings, but for now, we are enforcing recommended social distancing boundaries to protect our guests and staff. Tables are currently rearranged to provide maximum space between dining guests, and we are limiting table size and restaurant capacities to avoid crowding. Additionally, each of our team members are outfitted with a mask which they are required to wear whenever they are on premise. Please do not ask your server to remove their mask, as they are unable to do so. Remember, masking UP is for your, and everyone else’s safety.

As our staff tries to keep as much distance as possible while still serving you, please note that we are discouraging handshakes and any other direct personal contact, and we ask that you please do the same. Additionally, we have implemented a contactless digital menu option, so you can view our daily selections from your personal phone or tablet (single use, disposable paper menus are also available upon request).

Furthermore, we will not permit anyone with possible COVID-19 symptoms, including fever and persistent cough to set foot in UP on the Roof. And if there’s a chance you’ve been in contact with someone who is infected, we ask that you please do the right thing and wait to join us until you’ve followed CDC guidelines for self-quarantine and symptom monitoring.

Thoroughly and Frequently Cleaning the Restaurant

We’ve always made cleanliness a priority at UP on the Roof, but during these unprecedented times, we’re doubling down on our sanitation efforts. Please know that this may mean there will be greater than normal delays in getting guests seated, but we hope you’ll agree that these extra cleaning measures between guests are worth the wait.

Our staff members will also be washing their hands even more often than usual, and we have hand sanitizer stations setup throughout the restaurant for guests and team members to use as needed. We encourage our guests to also consider increasing their hand washing frequency – there’s nothing more effective at preventing the spread of COVID than 20 seconds (it’s longer than you think) with warm soapy water.

Following All Recommended Guidelines

As conditions change, we will keep a close eye on the guidelines established by CDC and all local and state health departments. We realize this is a fluid situation, and as recommendations change, we will continue to reiterate best practices with our team members before every shift.
