If you’re planning to spend an evening out in Greenville, there are so many reasons why you should include a visit to UP on the Roof.  Our restaurant, which Food Network recently named one of the best rooftop restaurants in the country, is open 11 a.m. to midnight daily, meaning we can accommodate you any time you want to stop in.

• Head out for an early dinner, and take your time as you enjoy the views from our rooftop and the company of your friends or significant other.
• Stop in for a handcrafted cocktail or glass of wine before or after the show. UP on the Roof has won Best Cocktail three years in a row in the Best of the Upstate Awards, so you’ll want to come in and try one for yourself!

The Firmament

The Firmament is one of Greenville’s greatest gems, which is probably why it’s risen so quickly in popularity. Located on Woodruff Road about 15 minutes from UP on the Roof, this venue features artists across genres and often books big name shows, like Cold, Gryffin, Vintage Vinyl, and more. Changing the Greenville music scene for the better, the Firmament is one of the youngest venues on our list and also one of the largest, holding a capacity up to 800 and offering plenty of parking.

Blues Boulevard Jazz

This well-known Greenville jazz joint sits right on the banks of the Reedy River, within walking to UP on the Roof, and pumps out smooth jazz and rhythmic blues. Blues Boulevard Jazz moved from Spartanburg to a new contemporary and larger location in Greenville, and we’re so glad. The quiet murmuring of conversation, a moody, modern setting, and incredible live jazz and blues sessions every weekend make this venue perfect for a date night.

Saluda River Yacht Club

 While the Saluda River Yacht Club is known more for its tubing than its live music, this venue – just a ten-minute drive from UP on the Roof – offers plenty of acoustic and local live music every weekend during the summer. The Radio Room

 Even as a classic dive bar, the Radio Room brought in a lot of Greenville music lovers with its eclectic lineup. Now, after moving to a slightly larger location on Poinsett Highway just five minutes from UP on the Roof, the Radio Room offers live music four to five times a week with varying genres from singer/songwriters to hardcore punk. No matter what your tastes are, you’re bound to find something you like at this top Greenville spot.

Gottrocks

 If you’re looking for rock and jam bands, Gottrocks is a staple of the Greenville music fabric. Open seven nights a week, and located about ten minutes from UP on the Roof, this dive bar really kicks it up on the weekends with lots of local and national touring artists.
