UP ON THE ROOF

The Most Popular Items on Our Fall and Winter Menu

During the colder months of the year, you’ll want to dine on dishes that will warm you right UP. Luckily, that’s just what’s on the menu this season at UP on the Roof, located atop the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downtown Greenville, SC.

Our seasonally inspired dishes and cocktails will keep you cozy as you gaze out over the Greenville skyline from our rooftop. Read on to learn more about a few of the most popular items on our Fall and Winter menu.

Sophisticated Southern Bites for Fall and Winter

We take comfort food to new heights at UP on the Roof, and our fall and winter menu reflects that goal. As always, our chefs create meals you’ll enjoy using the highest-quality local ingredients, including in-season produce like mushrooms, tomatoes, root vegetables, apples, and more.

Appetizers

Sloppy Carlos Beef Nachos: These nachos are on another level. In addition to the usual ingredients like black beans, lettuce, tomato, and chips, we’ve added crème fraiche, bacon, jalapeños, and warm beer cheese for an indulgent starter to share. And if you decide you want one all for yourself, there’s no judgment here!

From the Farm

Beyond Balls: Our vegan version of this winter-warmer will please just about everyone. These hearty “meatballs” come covered in a sweet and sour glaze with spicy micro shiso leaves on the side.

Local Mushroom Risotto: As comforting as mac & cheese but far more sophisticated, our seasonal risotto combines South Carolina-grown wild mushrooms, truffles, parmesan, and a red wine reduction for an insanely creamy dish. To give your meal a boost of protein, consider adding chicken or tuna.

From the Sea

Lobster Ravioli: At UP on the Roof, we elevate traditional ravioli by filling it with the most decadent seafood around and topping it with smoked tomatoes and a luscious Pernod cream sauce.

Drunken Mussels: Traditional mussels in white wine sauce gets a satisfying update with the addition of bacon, creamed corn, leeks, and charred tomato.

From the Ranch

Pasta Bourguignon: You may have thought to braise beef in red wine on a chilly day, but what about lamb and duck? By incorporating these meats’ rich flavors, we’ve transformed a longtime French standby into something new. Served over ribbons of locally made tagliatelle pasta and root vegetables, this dish is certain to please the palate.

Don’t Forget Dessert!

Fried Apple Pie Eggrolls: Our innovative twist on standard apple pie comes with a Fireball creme anglaise sauce perfect for dipping.

Toast at UP on the Roof This Winter

Nothing gets your body temperature rising like a boozy beverage, and we’re offering plenty this season at UP on the Roof. Get ready to raise your glass with one of our warming whiskey concoctions.

Soaring Bottle Cocktails

Barrel of Monkeys: Monkey Shoulder scotch, Campari, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, blackberry puree, and plum bitters give this libation a blend of sweet and spicy flavors more fun than the drink’s namesake.

Elevated Classics

Bo’s Point of View: Maker’s Mark bourbon mingles with black walnut bitters, pink grapefruit juice, and honey simple syrup to create a cocktail made for sipping while watching the sunset over the Reedy River.
