Ahoy, matey: You don’t have to travel for an island escape this summer—Surf’s UP is back at UP on the Roof! From July 5th through Labor Day, visit any of our rooftop restaurants, including Anderson, SC, Greenville, SC, Alpharetta, GA and the new Charlottesville rooftop restaurant, for our tiki pop-up bar, back for another year by popular demand.
When you get your tiki tango on with us, you can expect island-inspired cocktails, beachy bites and tropical decor. Read on to learn more about the Surf’s UP pop-up at UP on the Roof or make a reservation at your nearest restaurant to book a table for you and your friends.
Drink UP with Tiki-Themed Cocktails
What pop-up tiki bar would be complete without a little rum? For Surf’s UP, we’ve crafted a collection of deserted island drinks that give tiki classics a modern mixology refresh.
For instance, don’t fear the Shark Infested Waters, featuring spiced rum, citroen vodka, blue curaçao, fresh-squeezed citrus juices, and vanilla syrup. Or perhaps you’d prefer one of our Message in a Bottled Cocktails, such as the Golden Hour rum concoction with hints of coconut.
If the sun is still high in the sky, however, order the Tropic Like It’s Hot. This frozen slushie of white rum, orange juice, lemonade, lemon-lime syrup, and grenadine will certainly keep you cool.
And if you’re out for a girls’ night with your favorite ladies, split our Beaches Be Crazy carafe of tequila, blood orange purée, kiwi cordial, aperol, and pineapple. We also have a fun trio of S.O.S. Shots: Tiki-la Sunrise, Beach Bum, and Island Breeze.
On the other hand, our first-ever zero-proof tiki cocktail makes its debut at this year’s Surf’s UP! Sip on the Lost at Sea made with CleanCo spiced rum and gin alternatives, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, grapefruit bitters, and orgeat to avoid feeling shipwrecked the next morning.

Savor Surf’s UP Small Plates
Now that Surf’s UP is back at UP on the Roof, we’ve expanded the pop-up menu from last time. Start your meal with one of our Big Kahuna Bites, like the shareable Pu-Pu Platter of fried plantains, veggie spring rolls, coconut shrimp, hoisin pork ribs, and assorted dipping sauces.
As for the mains, order one of our Shipwrecked Sandwiches served with fries. Favorites include the Blackened Mahi with remoulade, Polynesian Pulled Pork with grilled pineapple, and the Teriyaki Fried Chicken with a mango slaw.
Feeling extra hungry? In that case, add one of our Smuggler’s Cove Sides, such as the Red Beans & Coconut Rice. That said, make sure you save room for dessert! Our Mojito Cheesecake of lime curd, dark rum, and mint dust on vanilla shortbread will surely hit the spot.

Once you step off the elevator and into our Surf’s UP pop-up, you’ll forget that you’re stateside. That’s because we’ve transformed all our restaurants into a tropical oasis, complete with surf boards, island decor, and plenty of leis. Of course, don’t forget the kitschy ceramic cocktail glasses for clinking. When you come UP, wear your best sundress or Hawaiian shirt to really get in the spirit!
