UP on the Roof in Charlottesville, VA is expected to open in March 2025.
Perched above The Doyle Hotel (formerly Quirk), just blocks from the Downtown Mall and the University of Virginia campus, UP strives to blur the line between indoors and outdoors. The wrap-around outdoor terrace overlooks downtown Charlottesville and boasts panoramic views of Virginia Wine Country and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Guests can expect to enjoy a repertoire of signature bottled cocktails and handcrafted libations. Complimenting the fun rooftop vibe and innovative beverage program, the menu will focus on UPscale bar food that highlights locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in a lively atmosphere.

Please note that we are only able to accept reservations for heated + covered outdoor dining. Indoor tables, fireplace areas, terrace seating groups and standing room on the rooftop is available on a first-come, first-served basis for all guests.
UP on the Roof reserves the right to limit tables to a single check for payment. A suggested gratuity of 20% will be added to all parties of 6 or more in the dining room. It is company policy that guests have the unrestricted right to determine the final amount of gratuity free from compulsion & negotiation.
Dogs and other pets, with the exception of certified service animals, are not permitted on the rooftop.
UP on the Roof gift certificates are available in denominations from $25 up to $250. Valid for food and beverage purchases at UP on the Roof only; gift certificates may not be used as payment for gratuity, service charges and facility rental fees.
In order to maximize the budgeted dollars we donate to non-profit organizations in the areas we serve, we utilize a matching donation program. Learn more and apply for a donation here.

Here are a few parking options:
- Free, but limited parking in a lot directly at the bottom of the Liberty Hall building
- Free street parking
- Paid parking lot behind the Liberty Hall building.
- Free public parking deck on the other side of the green space (just a short walk)
Head to 33 S. Main St, Alpharetta, GA. Walk to the side door in the alleyway to access the lobby of Liberty Hall and take the elevator to Floor 5.
