UP ON THE ROOF

Enjoy Warm Weather Cocktails This Spring and Summer at UP on the Roof

Gone are the winter days of dark liquors, heavy mixers, and soul-warming spices like cinnamon. Once the sun comes out it’s time to break out the fresh fruit, lime and bubbles! Just as you switch out dark and heavy sweaters for brightly colored sundresses and shorts, the warming weather of Spring and Summer calls for libations that are lighter, more effervescent, and refreshing.

Whether you enjoy vodka, tequila, or gin, we have a deliciously refreshing cocktail to help you relax on our outdoor patio and soak in the moment.

Walk the Line

This mocktail has a lovely citrus flavor with a sweet berry finish. We use lemon and pink grapefruit juices and our berry simple syrup for a depth of fruity flavor. On a hot summer day, club soda is extremely refreshing. We mix the drink with some sparkling club soda and serve it on ice. It’s the perfect balance of tart and sweet and it’s so smooth you’ll definitely come back for another round.

Moon-Over-Moscow Mule

up

A traditional Moscow Mule is vodka, ginger beer, and lime served in a cooper mug. Our mixologists took the original and took it to the moon! We start out with premium Reyka Icelandic vodka and add a squeeze of lime juice and a dash of simple syrup. Next, we infuse the vodka with some ginger liqueur and finish it with ginger ale. The drink has a depth of ginger flavor and the sparkling ale is perfect to cool off on a hot day.

Up in the Air

The Up in the Air cocktail is one you won’t find anywhere else. It features an exquisite Hat Trick gin and Fino sherry. We add a splash of lemon sour and a dash of vanilla bitters to round out the flavors. Finally, we finish the cocktail with a refreshing Nino Franco prosecco and some orange juice. Served in a bottle, it’s one of our top recommendations for hot weather, because the sweet and sour flavors blend perfectly with the prosecco.

The Mahalo

“Mahalo” means “thank you” in Hawaiian, and you are most certainly welcome! Mixed with Lunazul tequila, crème de violette, and lime juice, it’s the ideal thirst quenching cocktail for tequila drinkers! Jalapeno ginger simple syrup is also added for a touch of both sweet and spicy! This libation was deemed the “Most Creative Cocktail” at Greenville’s 2017 Tacos n’ Tequilas Festival, so you know it’s special! Once you take a sip of this cocktail, you will suddenly feel a Hawaiian breeze.
